New State of Mind

Changes are good! Changes are meant to give you an experience out of your comfort zone. So changes are good. Well, that said, I have faced SO MANY changes that I am now confused if it was meant to happen to me or just changes that had to happen. I can't say if they are good or bad, in my case, just these changes have caused a drastic movement in my life.

It all started with my husband's leg pain. We visited many doctors, coz that leg pain was giving him a lot of back pain. We got to speak to a few doctors, my sister being one of them. Later she got us connected to other doctors in the US. Husband's friend got him connected to one doctor in India. And so started our journey to the hospitals and calls made to many doctors. In the time being, we took the initiate to do some simple chair yoga, breathing exercise and the fire treatment, acupuncture, massaging, physiology-therapy.

We also found doctors in HK. Initially, we thought they could help but after 2-3 months of discussion, we discovered that they specialized in traditional Chinese medicine. These doctors asked us to do tests and more tests. Their responses were slow and not really productive. After 3 months, they finally told us to come to HK, which would have been super expensive, considering that we had no home to stay but to be put up in a hotel. Plus, with the border being closed, it was impossible to travel out of the country and return normally.

Finally, we went to 2 doctors out of my current city, Hangzhou and Shanghai. We also did many blood tests, MRI scans, ultra sound, and finally an operation.

I really don't want to mention here what was finally diagnosed after our hunts and visits and trying out zillion therapies, just it isn't a good result.

In all these months, husband's health went down, emotions went hay-wired, and loads of blame game started.

Finally we came to accept the final diagnose, with a heavy heart and as a final and last step, started on TCM. As we started with this, he had to stop all his fruit intake, extra supplements, and have a controlled diet of less sugar and less gluten intake.

As a caretaker of my husband, it hasn't been an easy journey for me but even worse for him. He has always been a social bird and would enjoy his social gatherings with friends (I’m opposite).
