Fascinating Beppu-Shi- a city in Japan
Trains here are super fast-faster than the ones in China.
However, this all said, it’s super quiet too. I guess it’s part of their culture-to not be LOUD and express their feelings OPENLY. So one needs to respect this aspect and appreciate being in a meditative state of mind constantly.
Love the look of their transport-old from the outside but still modernized from the inside.
Japan is known for their Cherry Blossom flowers. This usually bloom in the spring and that’s a big travel season and boom in the tourism period. People from all over the world, visit the country for their flowers. Just like it is in Holland for their Tulips.

Cars are box shaped. Big body and tiny wheels. Easy to drive, since they are light weight and small in size.

A dish of rice wrapped inside an omelet, covered with some sweet sauce. Filling but a little sweet.
While taking a walk on our first day, we came across this Indian restaurant. What a good surprise it for us, since we were starving and quite lost as to what to eat. The interesting thing about this place was that it served exactly 4 pieces of chicken in its chicken curry dish. It was shared equally between Elina and myself. Their garlic nan was big and quite yummy. The people running this place however, couldn’t speak much English but their Hindi was equally un-understandable (if there is such a wordπ€ͺ). They spoke good Japanese and have been living and working in Japan for 18years. Wow! π
Beppu is known for their Jigouku. Pls do visit the attached page to read about my visit to some of the most interesting and natural hot wells.
We also visited the Beppu Ropeway. It’s a cable car ride. Sounds interesting, do visit the attached page to see some of the most beautiful sight EVER.
There is a story behind this man with a long red nose. This model is quite popular.
The light tower.
Beppu is situated in a very intriguing location. On the west end, you can have a view of the mountains and on the east end one can enjoy the beach. Residential area is mostly in the west end, up and down the mountains.
Selling natural juices. People of this beautiful county prefer to drink cold and iced water instead of hot water. This was seen during the winter.
